Club Count Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010
Well, we actually had some hunters weather the storm and make it out to the club on Wednesday. Per Clint “I can hunt in a monsoon” Cole, 6 hunters got 32 birds (I bet it was because the gale force winds slowed ‘em down
). Just kidding, our hunters make it out rain or shine…Good job on jacking up our total club count boys, we appreciate it. Coming down to the closer soon, so see ya at the club.
Club Count Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 and Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010

Hey there. Saturday was pretty good. Foggy with light winds. 16 hunters got 78 birds, including 2 geese. Congratulations to Dave Tice and Billy Sprague, who each got their first snow! Sunday slowed down a little. 4 hunters got 6 ducks. We are starting to run out of time, as there are only three weekends left. Wow, where did the season go??? See you at the club.
Club Count Saturday, January 2, 2009 and Sunday, January 3, 2009
Well, Saturday we had 10 hunters (where’s everybody been???) and got 37 birds. Kind of a mixed bag, with mostly teal, some wideon and pintail, less spoony’s than usual (Yippeeeee). Sunday, well nobody killed anything, so I guess it really doesn’t matter how many of us were there…
On a side note, Steve did some research for us and turns out, as of December 31 LAST year, we had 411 birds on the board (9 mallards, 16 pintail, 19 widgeon, 182 teal, 145 spoony’s and 6 geese [the rest would be others, for those doin the math]). As of January 3 of THIS year, we have 573 birds on the board (18 mallards, 64 pintail, 26 widgeon and 6 geese [all the tally's were'nt included yet for individual birds]). Before you say it, I know…with the DRY November and December this year, how could that be possible? Well, if you recall (you intoxicated “know it all’s”, last year we had fewer hunters, and could only take one pintail and no canny’s. So there, you know what I know (well, some of you!) and I will see you at the club…
Club Count, Wednesday, December 30, 2009
This just in…According to my field correspondent, Steve Barckley, prior to this Wednesday’s hunt, the club total for the year is 514 birds (I know, pretty sorry isn’t it?). But…decent news from the Wednesday crew. 10 hunters got 22 ducks and 1 goose (congrat’s Nate on your first cackler). KKKenny update, leg still broken, having it bolted back together Thursday morning if all goes well. It’s not like he passes through a lot of airports anyway, but this thing may take a while to heal. So I fully expect you guys to call him up and bother the crap out of him about his “season ending injury” and the fact that he got put on IR this late in the seas0n just when the games at the club were gonna get good…See ya over there!
Club Count Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27, 2009
Well, here we go…Saturday, 8 hunters got 20 birds. Sunday, 1 hunter got 7 birds. You figure it out. Also, for the weekend game highlights, KKKenny RRRoberts tripped on something and fell by the woodpile, and BROKE his distal fibula…yep, you heard it right. Someone should tell him we don’t have any money, he should do that kinda crap at the Walmart, Home Depot, or Chics. Slip, Trip and Fall Attorneys would be all over that…He’s doing okay, supposed to have surgery for some new hardware on Thursday. Give him a call if you get a chance. See ya at the club.
